Zoo Boise

My friend Crystal and I decided to make a fun trek to the zoo in Boise. We loaded up Crystal's 3 kids and my 2 in my Suburban and headed out. The kids were so excited that they giggled and yelled the whole way there :) The zoo had a little park that we had a quick picnic and let the kids play on slides, etc. But it looked like rain, so we situated them in the wagons and strollers (above) and decided to beat the rain to the zoo.
We didn't quite make it. The rain poured on us the entire time at the zoo, but the kids didn't even notice that we were all soaking wet. They ran from one animal to the next and were so excited that they could hardly stand it.
This is all the kids at the penguin exhibit which was really fun. The water was right at their level and they could watch the penguins jump out of the water and swim right by their faces through the glass. Livvy kept reaching out the touch them :)
The zoo had all kinds of fun toys and places to pretend to be the animals, but they were all soaking wet. This is the only one that I could talk Wyatt into getting into. The kids saw a sloth bear, white snow leapards, bobcats, pythons, tigers, and the list goes on....I wish we would have taken a minute to get a picture before we got everyone back in the car because we were all soaking wet (especially me- who doesn't wear a jacket with a hood? DUMMY!), but we threw everyone back in the Suburban still happy and laughing, but all were sound asleep before we even hit the freeway. Such a fun day to kick off summer......in the freezing rain:)
