What to do with Livvy

Today Livvy was being bit of a stinker. Exasperated, I turned to Wyatt and said "Wyatt- What are we going to do with your sister?" I didn't really expect an answer and didn't get one for several seconds. Then- after some thought- Wyatt answered excitedly. "I KNOW! Let's give her to the pirates and then they can bury her!"

Trust me bud- there are many days I'm tempted.

Preschool Graduation

Today both Wyatt and Livvy participated in their preschool graduations. They were in different classes, but the graduation was held as a group. Both kids were so excited. For days they've been telling me about their 'Graduation Celebration" as Wyatt called it. Wyatt was the only boy in the class with hair too short to bobby-pin his hat on, so this is the lone 'hat' shot. Wyatt was so excited to get his certificate. He practically danced up there when his name was called with a big grin.

Livvy was right in the front row and loved every minute of all the attention. Right after Livvy and Wyatt had both received their certificates, Wyatt snuck through all the other kids and said "Hey- Sissy- We did it! Give me 5!" They high-fived and then Wyatt snuck back to his spot. It was hilarious. That is so my sweet little boy- so excited!

Instead of wearing his graduation hat, Wyatt just tickled himself on the face with the tassle instead- little joys right?

Livvy looked so pretty in the front row. But we were VERY glad we had remembered to put 'church panties' on as it is so hard for a little girl to be modest through the ENTIRE graduation you know.

Since neither grandma was able to attend to see the graduation, both begged me to video it all. So I video'd both songs that the kids sang and panned back and forth between the two kids. BOTH kids danced and sang and did all the actions. This is a small miracle for Wyatt- I was thrilled. Livvy loved every minute of it. I seriously had 8 parents come up afterwards and tell me how cute my kids were. Thanks- I thought so too. It's a great day when your expectations actually live up to the results. Especially in front of a group- I had myself all prepared for all kinds of meltdowns and shy attacks. But none to be found- Hooray!
Update- for some reason I have been trying to upload the video for days and it refuses. I finally just decided to publish the post and keep working on the video later. It'll come- I hope!

Also- Great news for Mommy- Wyatt will be starting summer school preschool on July 14th to help keep his fine motor skills up to where we've finally gotten them. So- his teacher informed me that the bus would come to pick them both up. Both?? I said- You want Livvy during the summer too as a peer student? Please- she asked? So BOTH of my kids get to go during the same time this summer to preschool- what will I do with all that free time?

Random Recent Pictures

These pictures are all kinda random, but cute- mostly of Livvy. The first two are Shelby (who rarely makes a blog debut) and the kids playing on the tramp. Shelby has been trying to teach Wyatt how to do a flip (feet, knees, flip!) I'll post a video later.
Livvy, Taylee and Jocee at Nancy's bridal shower last weekend. Livvy LOVED being able to play with her favorite girls. They had just barely finished having their toenails painted by Grandma Holly.

Livvy after playing in the mud the other night. I would have gotten a picture of Wyatt, but by the time I grabbed my camera, Shelby was already spraying him off naked in the hose. HILARIOUS! Livvy didn't look so happy a few seconds after this either.

Firehouse Field Trip

A couple of weeks ago I went with Wyatt's preschool class to the Gooding Firehouse. Livvy actually goes to the same preschool in the afternoon, but we decided that she would just go with Mommy and Wyatt instead. The kids loved it. Wyatt was worried about noises (of course) so he kept covering his ears and whimpering a little, but he really enjoyed it. He now knows ALL about firemen and teaches me continually. Their class also made the cutest little 'Firedog hats'. Livvy was mad that I wouldn't let her climb on a fire truck that wasn't cleaned and so she refused to be in these pictures. I had to sneak one of her taking her turn climbing into the firetruck.

It's so fun to see my kids get so excited about learning new things and having new experiences. They are both so intuitive and interested in everything. Everyday is a new adventure.

Picture Tag

I was tagged by Amy
1. go to your sixth folder
2. go to your sixth picture
3. blog about it
4. tag 6 people

This is Mr. Wyatt riding his horse proving that he is 'tough enough to wear pink". This was taken during the short eight months that we lived in our new house in Tremonton., so he was 3! He didn't really play with this horse that much, so I am glad that I have a few cowboy pictures of him- even if he is wearing a pink shirt and shorts :)

I tag Jinger, Jalynn, Melinda, Tangi, Afton, Amber, and Katie

Religion according to Livvy

At church last Sunday, Livvy and I were headed to the chapel before church and passed the above picture. She stopped and said "Look Mom- there's Jesus!" "Yeah, I said, What's Jesus doing?" (Pause for effect)

"He's painting their toenails." :)
